I know I often toy with that last paragraph or so until it's as perfect as I can get it. Thanks for this terrific example!Kristina Wrighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07206629885091637673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-86703832778007041672011-05-17T09:53:32.926-04:002011-05-17T09:53:32.926-04:00Different takes on the subject makes it interestin...Different takes on the subject makes it interesting.Kathleen Bradeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06347913255760493335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-70723140598711080292011-05-17T05:41:17.166-04:002011-05-17T05:41:17.166-04:00I think it's actually more difficult to craft ...I think it's actually more difficult to craft a memorable last line than a first one. You've provided a stellar example.

I often find myself circling back with an allusion to the beginning.
---------------
-
I'm humming as I zip up my black velvet jumpsuit and step into my spiky leather boots. I still have no idea what I'm going to do about Jimmy. Sometimes the last sentence is what you remember most. Hemingway especially had a thing for last lines. He's fallen out of fashion but I've always liked Hemingway.

Garce
"Sit now, nordchen, by the waters of Babylon and weep."

(last line of "The Lady and the Unicorn")Garceushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11160407485298015371noreply@blogger.com
