Apart from pop up warnings that my pc was about to crash, making me a nervous wreck, I had several screens that completely covered whatever I was working on. I got in touch with Norton by way of the Khyber Pass and after taking control of my pc by remote - woops hope you like the jpgs on my desktop Dinesh, he declared it fixed. Not. Another rep couldn't keep control of my pc - poor bugger kept getting disconnected - strong virus Mr Bowie said he - can't remember that one's name, but after an hour and a half I disconnected him myself. Third go around was a success ( I hope) and the pc is actually a bit faster than of old. So the days I spent struggling with flashing screens and ads for just about everything I do not want in my life, perhaps now I can get back to blogging without interruptions...fingers crossed. And Annabeth - I'd love to know what's in your pantry!JPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10305127219838784688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-48815144413671617632014-01-04T11:22:37.706-05:002014-01-04T11:22:37.706-05:00Wow, Starhawk-

This is another way in which they are haunted.

Funny you should mention Tolkien, though. When I was writing my post, I went looking for my copy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I more or less lived in Middle Earth during my high school years. My senior English thesis was entitled "The Great Chain of Being in Middle Earth". My original copies were gone, though. I think I must have given them away, realizing that a classic like the Lord of the Rings could always be replaced.
Lisabet Saraihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05162514190572269660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-41054086593548920672014-01-03T21:31:28.920-05:002014-01-03T21:31:28.920-05:00what a diverse collection. i like that all these b...what a diverse collection. i like that all these books have stories...Amanda Earlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09059621442042833693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-19297059234223352742014-01-03T09:12:45.422-05:002014-01-03T09:12:45.422-05:00"it is full of ghosts that constantly threate..."it is full of ghosts that constantly threaten to pull me away from more pressing concerns"

I love this.
