I'm really excited about my release and the cover IS fabulous.

I work with colege-age athletes, and I can't help admire the ones that look v-e-r-y nice with no shirts... But then I realize they are SO young. They have no idea of the real world - daddy still pays, and mommy still comes to clean their dorm rooms (wich mine had done that at all!). There is a point where young can be too young, you know? As we age, and so do they, the differences will get smaller, but man, right now, that ten years, or even five or six, still seems huge!

I need stability. Whether it comes from a man born a couple of years younger or a couple of years older, as long as that stability and maturity is there, I'm good. That's the key, I think! In real life and in our writing.

Thanks for having me with you all!

CaraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-38768924797011193832008-10-18T12:26:00.000-04:002008-10-18T12:26:00.000-04:00Oh, this sounds wonderful! Congratulations.

Since I'm a bit older and have married children, I find drooling over younger men a bit "yucky", as my youngest would say. Besides, I have always liked MEN; strong, self-assured, experienced, just a tad arrogant men a woman can rely on when the going gets rough.

Pretty boys with sixpacks are nice to look at (and I do look. Ain't dead yet), but when the going gets rough, give me a man who will stand beside me, not one who will go running home to Mommy or, worse, needs instructions. Hard to lean on a structure you fear might fall, and even the strongest of us need support sometimes.Gwynlynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13131507614528809505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-71743769173405367442008-10-18T11:04:00.000-04:002008-10-18T11:04:00.000-04:00My dad worked in a bank and in his position we alw...My dad worked in a bank and in his position we always had upper level management for the international division eating at our house for special dinners. Many were late twenties or thirties and I, in high school, suffered through several crushes on the older men. As a woman, I can see the allure of attracting a younger man, but for relationships? Nah. I want a man who knows what HE wants. No games. THAT is sexy.

Cara, so good to see you here and congratulations on your release. Looks like you and I are releasing the same day (my alter ego)!! I hadn't seen your cover before today and it's GORGEOUS! Great blog and even greater excitement over your release. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9156334464585894857.post-61821457146350270622008-10-18T09:52:00.000-04:002008-10-18T09:52:00.000-04:00Great post, Cara!Wow, this is a hot topic, huh? I think most people characterize themselves one way or another, either believing they're attracted to older men/women, or younger.

But I believe love is really about chemistry and nothing to do with stereotypes.
:)
ReneeRenee DeMarcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01616494814877915647noreply@blogger.com
