Hunky Failure

Okay, so after about five hours agonising over what to write on this topic, I realised one very important fact. There's a reason I can't do it: mainly that I am nowhere near capable of writing in the same style as some of my favourite authors. That's why they're my favourite authors! Because they are orsum, and I am sooooo not.

But rather than leave you all with a big blank spot where my post should be, I thought I'd give the gift that keeps on giving. Hunks!

Hooray!

I know, I know. The fourth one down is my favourite, too.

  1. Not orsum? But my dear, your name was mentioned several times at the EAA Conference this weekend - with praise and general feelings of your orsumness.

  2. This was wonderful -- I am a HUGE fan of Geeks in general, and Big Bang in particular.

Just wrote about hot geeks, in fact:

I think I'll have to do another post just about the Big Bang boys. Sheldon! -fans self- He can knock on my door any day.

  3. And now I just have the sound of:

    knocknockknock

    Harley?

    knocknockknock

    Harley?

    knockknockknock

    Harley?

  4. Charlotte Stein may have declined to imitate a favorite author... but as one of my favorite authors, I thought Charlotte was worthy of an imitation/tribute herself. Thank you for giving me permission to do this, Mighty Viper!

  5. See, Charlotte?

You're going to be the only one of us who gets her own perfect mimicry.

Jeremy - I'm just blown away. Are you SURE Charlotte really didn't write that?

  6. Howard as your favourite?? Well, it's a good smorgasbord of hunks. :)

  7. Kathleen - for reals?? HOMG. People talk about me. Thanks for telling me that! I feel all coy, now. *toes dirt with shoe*

Harley - hooray, I am not alone! I love every single one of those gorgeous geeks, but Howard is absolutely my favourite. I love that he's kind of brash and misogynistic on the face of it, but underneath he's sweet and loving. He's totally the wrong way around for one of those "nice" guys - you know the sort. The geek who can't get the girl and whines that girls only want "nice" guys and he's so nice and sweet he can't get anyone - but really he's a jerk. Howard wears his jerkiness on his sleeve, but secretly he's lovely. #longtheoriesaboutgeeks Also: LOL. One day, Sheldon will do that on my door.

    Kristina - thanks!

Jeremy - I don't know what touches me more, that you would even think to do this, or that you know my work so well you can imitate it like that. It's the sort of thing you expect to happen when you're Stephen King. Never thought I'd get something like that from someone I so admire! Thank you, mah lovely one.

Lisabet - it's probably because I'm the weird one! Weird is easy to imitate. Plus I have all of these tics and habits...

Jean - I like a bit of everything! Could never just like one type of man.
